Successful PTO Meeting

Last night we held our first PTO meeting of the school year.  There was a great turnout!  We had over 20 people attend!  We discussed the school's draft for the bullying policy, information was provided about ND state assessments and NWEA testing, and Emily Kemp provided information about the volunteer program for the school.  Other items talked about were activites to be plan for the upcoming months.
The next PTO meeting will be held on Nov. 21st at 6:30pm, during that meeting we will have election of officers.
If you were unable to attend last night's meeting we would love for you to attend our November meeting.
Daycare will be provided during the meeting.

Happy Faces at the Cavalier School

It is always so great seeing all these smiling faces when you walk through the halls at the Cavalier Public School!

Sixth Graders Working on Vocabulary Words

We have a new reading series this year for our students.  A big change with this reading series is that they do have some very challenging vocabulary words for students to work on.  It will take more work on the students' part to spend more time studying these words but it will all be worth it for them because it will help them expand their vocabulary and help them with comprehension of their reading.

Excited About Learning!

We are so glad we were able to provide preschool again this year!  I have had many opportunities to observe what the preschool students are learning.  Today they are working on shapes.  The triangle is a tricky one for the little ones but it sure looks like these students are learning that shape with little problems.  They were practicing drawing triangles on the activboard.  Each student got the opportunity to make the shape!  Great job preschoolers!
