Icelandic Exchange Artist Works with Students

This week students in grades 5-7 had the opportunity to go to Icelandic State Park and work on a building project with an artist from Iceland. 

Grant Awarded to Cavalier Public School

The Grant application submitted on behalf of the Cavalier Public School has been awarded funds by the EduTech.  The amount of the award is $5,000 and $3,800 for the six additional workshops for a total of $8,800.
Grant funds are for the Everyone Needs a Little TLC Project.  This project will provide technology learning to the community of Cavalier.  There will be 12 two hour workshops offered throughout the year to the public.

Family Literacy Night

20 people attended Family Literacy Night.  We enjoyed popcorn while we played a variety of board games together. 

Taking time to play board games at home with your child helps your child learn a variety of skills.  They learn they must follow directions, take turns, read simple instructions, and have fun still while learning! 

Everyone left with a smile on their face and a door prize in their hand!  Thanks to everyone that came and participated!

2012 Kindergarten Students

Kindergarten Round Up a Great Success!

Last night we had a wonderful turn out of incoming kindergarteners and their parents here to register for fall kindergarten.  It was so much fun seeing all the children coming in with big smiles on their faces so excited to start school.  I can't wait to get them all back here in the Fall.  It is going to be an exciting time for all of us!

in the Cavalier Public School's Multipurpose Room. 

We have planned an evening of family togetherness playing a variety of board games. 

This event is free!  We will have refreshments available.

Books and games will be given away as door prizes!

Come join the fun!

All students must be accompanied by an adult.

Early Dismissal on Monday, March 7th

The Cavalier High School girls' basketball team have advanced to the Regional Tournament in Grand Forks.  They will be playing Monday at or around that 4:30pm time at the Betty Engelstad Area.  We will be dismissing students at 2:30pm that day and there will be no ESP services in hopes that everyone will attend the game and cheer our Lady Tornadoes on to a VICTORY!
